Western Assembly Churches

Brief History 

Gabriel Royal was the founder of Point Level Church. Point Level was founded in 1882. Gabriel built a log church on the opposite side of the road from where the church now stand. Gabriel was the chairman Deacon.  He also served in the Western Assembly as the Treasurer in 1914. The church is located in the Herring Township of Sampson County. His family such as Nelson and Frances Royal McPhail, Johnnie Hayes Royal, John and Anna Royal McPhail, Jerry and Lizzie Royal Warren, Hattie Mae Royal were some of the early members at Point Level.   He served as Treasurer and was a Counsellors at the Western Assembly.
